I walked to class on Thursday 30 June. Class was by Xanthaki. After the break we had a lunchtime seminar by a drafter from Victoria. I had a burger at Bloomsbury market, then swam, then walked back for a nap. I went to the Imperial War Museum for the commemoration of the Battle of the Somme in the evening. Elephant and Castle is really rather different. The Museum visit was very educational. After that I crossed Westminster Bridge to get to Westminster Abbey, where I spent sometime at the vigil in commemoration of the soldiers lost at the Battle, and heard some of their testimonies. I left at midnight. Heading the wrong way at first instance, I ended up running down Birdcage Walk to Buckingham Palace and then taking a back path to Piccadilly Road, where I caught bus 19 back. It was a late night.
